populationgo: Darker “Peter Pan” Film To Involve Eckhart, Robb and Bean Essential Entertainment has signed three actors to the new and darker Peter Pan film project tentatively named “Pan”. In this loose adaption, Captain Hook, played by Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight, Battle: Los Angeles), and Smee, played by Sean Bean (The Lord of the Rings, Troy), join forces with Wendy, played by AnnaSopia Robb (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Race to Witch Mountain) to help track down Pan, who, in this film, is a villainous kidnapper. The film will be directed by newcomer (to the directorial scene) Ben Hibon, a man more proficient in animation directing. Nobody has been cast as Peter Pan just yet. It’s a rather intriguing twist having Peter Pan as the villain and Captain Hook as the hero, to say the least. The material seems completely new, and Pan being tagged as a child kidnapper is as dark as it gets. I’m actually curious as to who they have in mind for Peter Pan. For some reason, I’m picturing him to be an eccentric, sociopath-like character. [/Film] wuuut
